Collin and Cade turned 5 months yesterday… which I didn’t get the chance to post.. these five months have sort of flew by, but have for sure been hard!!! i never imagined five months ago when i went in for an ob appt that they would send me directly to pre- op, and prep me all up for a c section.. to which today, i am amazed by dr. collins, and the amazing job she did.. my scar has healed very nicely and i am even at a lower weight than when i got pregnant! two boys, came from the same place, lived together… look alike.. but yet so different.. the are amazingand it is amazing to watch their own personality come out of them everyday.
since they came home, cade has always been the laid back one, didn’t need rocked to sleep… would just hang out and watch everything and never cried. lately he has noticed what collin does to get attention and copies 
cade has always been the littler one, but the fighter and by now he is not far behind collin in weight, and just about an inch shorter.. cade is my little man. his little cry is so pathetic i hate hearing it because he hardly ever does.. .it breaks my heart. i bubble blow my mouth, he smiles and does it back…
collin is my chunky monkey… snuggle bear.. he has always loved that. always wants to be rocked to sleep, and most of the time– i don’t mind. he is for sure the louder of the two!! collin is getting very good at rolling over and talks and talks for long periods of time.. it’s so silly.. he loves all his little friends (his mobile, and play station) and really only cries now when he’s bored or tired… he loves to play peek a boo with momma.
you boys… you’ve got mommy and daddy’s, and even your sisters, hearts… you are amazing. adorable. growing. when you boys smile, the room lights up. such beautiful blue eyes…

so this was doug’s last weekend off from a two week vacation.. and my nephew stayed the weekend helping him with a new project in the works.. it was beautiful weather here and i just hung out with the kids… a pretty normal weekend i must say.. BUT next weekend, if doug doesn’t have to work, we have a baby sitter for the kids, YES, all three!! it will be so good to have some alone time..
here are a few pictures from the weekend… nothing too exciting…
on a side note.. collin is READY TO GO!!! if the kid had a little more strength and balance, he’d be taking off! oh boy… two boys crawling. it will be insane. although i think collin might skip the crawling and go straight to walking.. such big boys.. my idea for when they get mobile is a big octagon gate/play yard that can go in our living room and contain them in a pretty big space when i have to leave the room… and still waiting on t ball sign up’s for the girl… and her swimming lessons… it’s going to be a busy summer… and i might start taking classes again for medical transcription.. i am not sure, i have a lot to look in to.. but, we’ll see… here are some pictures from the weekend…

saturday evening my mother took her final steps to being a catholic. she has attended, not regularly, for about three years, a catholic church out of town when visiting friends… then for over six months now she has been taking classes at the local catholic church, St. Mary’s. it was a very neat experience, as it was easter vigil as well and me not knowing much about the catholic religion. we stood outside around a fire for awhile. and the church was dark most of the tme with us holding small cadoles. ,p, was so glad to be the one to have like two full pews of family there to support. the ceremony was long, three hours to be exact.. before hand.. her friends leeanne and becky, her sponser kathy, my sister and her boyfriend, my aunts debbie and lori and i (no baby sitter so douglas got to stay home with the kiddos) went out to eat mexican.. i am so glad that she had so many loved ones with her, as my brother and his girlfriend and another aunt and uncle showed up at the ceremony.. she got some really neat gifts from everyone…

so as most of you already know, my grandma joy has gotten pretty sick over the past year and has had to be put in a nursing home…. between all the snow we’ve had this winter, and me not taking the babies out much with all the sickness around… she has only gotten to see them once before, christmas eve. today was my aunt debbie’s birthday, so after picking meleia up from school we gathered at pizza hut with mom, grandma, debbie, missy, and lori.. and after they brought grandma joy over to visit… you could see the happiness in her eyes.. amazing. she talks about them all the time and this was like the best thing for her… we all had a nice visit for the afternoon… i’m glad for days like this…

we had a good weekend around here.. doug was off all weekend.. and we pretty much just hung out at home.. the boys enjoyed playing with their mobiles we finally put together.. and they slept meleia had a busy weekend as you’ll see in the pictures.. i love my family..
i once thought meleia did good at putting on make up, until she came out looking like this!

it’s still an amazing experience and true shock sometimes that we have twins.
they are such happy boys and looking more and more alike everyday…
cade is catching up with collin weight wise, but is still a shorty pants…
he is no longer my peanut head! 
we are very lucky to have such handsome, healthy, happy little men..

so lately i have been out of sorts.. we all know this.. slowly i am getting things figured out, i’d like to think.. along the way i am helping someone else figure things out long over due as well… and i think together, we will make it. atleast we are trying. and willing. and our love is strong. strong. i haven’t been able to write lately.. i am hoping tofind words again soon… douglas has started writing again.. amazing poems for me. thanks baby. i know things are far from perfect right now, in a lot of ways.. but i hold faith that soon everything will be … normal again. whatever normal is… i love you, douglas.

we took it easy yesterday.. i cleaned while meleia was at school we then we all hung out with babies… today it was beautiful outside and with doug’s arm feeling better he was able to help drag most of meleia’s summer toys out, like her sandbox and slide, etc… i took hot water and washed everything down and it’s all brand new to her! she had a blast outside today! even the boys got to get in their stroller since it was nice and have a little fresh air..
